How to Clean a Baby Car Seat

Hi, I’m Erica, I’m in Atlanta, Georgia and I’m going to talk to you today about how to clean a baby car seat. All car seats are different. So the way it’s hooked up and the way that it’s put together can be a little bit different, but usually, it’s pretty much the same procedure. What you’re going to have to do is actually take the straps off. The little mechanism right here, most car seats have these, but if not, it’s pretty simple. You go ahead and take the straps off cause you will need to wash the straps in the washer separately. Once you unhooked that, you can actually pull the straps out to come out really easily.

You can also take these off also. And then usually the car seat fabric is held in by these little prongs. And what you need to do is just get a pair of pliers and just pinch the inside and just pushed it out. And you’re going to do that for all of these. You’re going to take all of them off. Once you take your fabric off, you can wash it in the washing machine. Usually on the cord cycle called the gentle cycle. You can use spray and wash off their only steams or if the child spilled anything on the actual chair. And then once you’ve taken it off on the plastic part, you can use, I’m just soap and water or you can actually spread us infected on it and just wipe it down.

How to Maintain a New Car

Good afternoon. My name is Tom Burns, a certified master mechanic from Redding, Pennsylvania. We want to talk about how to maintain your new car. When you buy a new vehicle. A lot of times, the dealerships that you pick it up at wool, will go over and, and schedule ahead of time your routine maintenance. However if you’re not sure and they skip this process when you buy it, all your owner’s manuals have a section in the back. Your schedule maintenance and how to keep up with you, your new vehicle. They have a specific section in here as the one you get your oil changed when you get the tires rotated.

Keep your oil changed at least every 5,000 miles. Every 15, 10, 15,000 miles, you want to check your air filters, your fuel filters, your belts, and your hoses. The biggest thing is to get your oil changed routinely. Make sure your tires rotated at least every other oil change. That’s about all the risks to it. The other specific specialties that you need to do special maintenance your dealership should be able to. I mentioned that when you buy your vehicle and if you have any questions, give them a call. They’re more than willing to sit down and talk to you about how to maintain your vehicle. But the biggest thing is to keep your all changed regularly. Keep your, your filters up regularly and just make sure your overall maintenance is done, your belts, your hoses and all that stuff every 10, 15,000 miles.

How to Diagnose a Faulty Brake

Usually when you have an issue when it comes to disc brakes for your drum brakes, basically any kind of break systems, you’ll have what they call a pool. Now when you hit the brake pedal left or right, or you have a vibration when you come to a stop, but we’re gonna focus today on the pooling aspect of it. Now a real simple way of determining which products and which side you have a problem with is if it’s pulling left and chances are 90 times, 90% of time you’re going to have a problem with the right side, either not working or being obstructed somehow over there. Or if it’s pulling to the right, chances are you’ve got a problem with the left because that’s the side that’s breaking and that’s why it’s going to pull you that way.

Brake Rotor, Caliper and Pads

Now, the most common problem when you have an issue with, either break sticking on one side or not working at all is the hose right here. Now when these hoses collapsed, what happens is you’ll push fluid down through them and it activates the brake Caliper, and it collapses shut then. And the pressure stays here. So the brake caliper, when you’re going down the road, is constantly applying pressure. So the easiest way to get around that, it’s just replaced the brake hose. Now when you’ve got another issue of, your brake pads, you’re coming down a hill bouncing that’s normally due to the road surface not being completely smooth. It actually, if you look at it with a micrometer, it’ll be a little wavy. So when you put brake pads, brake pressure on that pedal up there, and you’d come to stop. What’s happening is the piston in here is going like the, and that’s what’s giving you your pulsation coming down through. And I hope that’ll clear up for any kind of a diagnostic questions. You have one, what goes wrong with breaks.
